How many times a day do you catch yourself worrying? I’m talking about the little worries, like whether there’s enough milk for the morning, and the big ones you carry quietly while you stir the soup. I know I do it more than I’d like to admit. That’s why St. Padre Pio’s simple advice has stayed with me for years: “Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”
He gave this advice often to the people who came to him for help. The full line goes on to say that worry is useless, because God is merciful and will hear our prayer. It’s honest and down to earth, and it’s exactly what I need to hear while I’m standing at the kitchen sink.
We set his words in a bold, warm lettering and printed them in Capuchin brown, a nod to the Franciscan habit St. Pio wore every day. Each towel is hand-pressed in our small studio in Illinois.
It makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who has a devotion to Padre Pio, for a friend going through a hard season, or for a housewarming. It’s also a lovely way to mark his feast day on September 23. And it’s just as good on an ordinary Tuesday, as a reminder hanging in your own kitchen.

All of our smaller ornaments come ready to gift with a gift box! Our larger ornaments have the option to add a gift box. You can upgrade to a lidded box filled with ivory crinkle cut and tied with a double faced satin ribbon (colors will vary). Your special ornament will be all ready for gifting! Our apparel and home goods items do not currently offer gift wrapping.
